Haha, I've been listening to this song a lot lately so how's that for a crazy coincidence.
I was actually thinking this song sounds like something from the 50s, but in Hirasawa's style. Kind of like Earth Angel? I don't know, maybe it's just me. (Picturing Hirasawa as a 50s era crooner, haha.)
Now I'm curious; has Hirasawa done any legit love songs? I'm guessing no.
And off topic: I'm checking out TV Tropes and noticed there's a page for Hirasawa. But there are no actual tropes listed for him and I'm thinking, someone should fix that.
Picturing Hirasawa as a 50s era crooner Now that you mention it...hmmm... *ponders* O_O
has Hirasawa done any legit love songs? I think that goes entirely against his goals as a musician. "Venus" strikes me as very love song-y, but it's still "LOVE SONG IN SPACE WITH VANISHED WORLDS AND FANTASY MAPS" so it's probably not actually a love song. :/
TV Tropes That place is the biggest time sink I know so I am not going to volunteer to fix that. XD
I had a pretty good streak of not drawing Hirasawa going. Looks like that streak will be broken very soon.
Yeah, it would be out of character to right a straight love song. Not that I care, the music scene is saturated with the things. And pfff, Venus sounds amazing. Translation when? :D
TV Tropes, man. I love it, but yeah, getting linked there is like saying 'I hope you didn't have any plans for he rest of the day.' But I was thinking of bringing it up on the Hirasawa comm, you know, have a discussion of what tropes would apply to the man and his music.
Translation when? It's currently filed under my secret "unpublished" tag. So I'll post it eventually. ;D
I was thinking of bringing it up on the Hirasawa comm, you know, have a discussion of what tropes would apply to the man and his music Oh, that sounds like a a good way to cause chaos idea. :D Off hand "Non-Appearing Title" and "Self-Backing Vocalist" seem fitting. Also: "What Do You Mean, It's Not Didactic?"
Oh no look what you've done now I'm reading there aaaugh
