New Blog

At the end of October I decided to start a new blog. Not to abandon this one, but since my posts here are nearly always friends only and about "real life", I wanted to keep my geek musing related posts all in one place. I also figure that one will be a good place to discuss my comic whenever I can get a more solid hold on that. If I ever get a ( Read more... )

So tell me about blogspot...didn't know you had one and if you see my most recent post here, am thinking about switching over.

btw, I'm guilty of some of the FB Football Faux Pas you list...hope you still love me. ;)

Of course I still love you. :) Just remember that if Kaity grows up and doesn't want to watch the Saints, she doesn't have to. Uncle Jak and I will be happy to spend time with her then instead.

I had one over there a really long time ago, and I can't remember why I abandoned it. Restarted this one because of the reasons I listed, obviously. I haven't really done a whole lot with it yet in terms of design or anything like that so I'm not sure how much better it is or not. It seems fairly easy to post from, so far at least. I find LJ gives you a lot of extras that blogspot doesn't have (icons, etc), so its kind of a toss up.

I like the blog a lot! I'll definitely be following it.

I have to say that I agree with you in part about the genderwank that goes on a lot in fandom. While I have to admit that there is an unfortunate disproportionate male to female ratio in many action/sci-fi works (usually a bunch of dudes and The Hot Girl), it's not always the case. I mean, it's good to point things out when you perceive them to be unfair, but not to the extent that it ruins everyone's enjoyment of the work.

Also, I love the post about football. I can't stand it, but my boyfriend loves it. It's not the biggest deal, though. He gets one day out of the week to devote to football, and the other six are devoted to me. ;)

Yeah, the reason the skimpy superheroine outfits don't bug me is because usually the men are unrealistic too! They usually wear more clothes, but how many men are actually built like bodybuilders?
