I finally watched Alien tonight. I was flipping through the channels and noticed it had started on FMC one minute before, so I figured I hadn't missed anything. "Should I bother with Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection?"
Alien Cubed - no. I thought it, frankly, sucked. It opens by needlessly killing two of the four main characters who survived Aliens, and kills a third one about ten minutes later. It's nihilistic, depressing and poorly written.
Resurrection? It was... okay. Weaver does some great acting in the scene where she discovers her clones, and Ron Pearlman is worth watching in anything. Worth watching if it's free and you've nothing better to do.
