I wish I had gooseberries! We have one blossom on our blackberry bush, plus a bunch of sproutlings of various sorts.

Blackberries around here - and certainly in our old house in Thornton Heath - generally run riot and go wild. Indeed, blackberries may have been the thorns in Thornton Heath. I never thought of that before. I made blackberry-and-apple a few times, but you really have to strain the blackberries or you get pips for weeks afterwards, and I really don't have that sort of energy.
