One of my favorite scenes from Grey's Anatomy is when a woman is screaming and, instead of trying to calm her down, one of the doctors screamed right back. Sometimes it's better to hear someone else is getting upset.

If you feel you need to put off working or thinking about work right now, you should. There is nothing wrong with that. You have a lot on your plate right now and there are things you need to deal with.
See, the matter is (i sent you an email) that my counselor is not doing a good job finding me a job that I want - she's doing a good job getting me off her desk, if you know what i mean. i don't even know if i want a job. i want to go back to school, which i tried to tell her, and which they can pay for, but she said my employer was supposed to pay for that and then chatted to me about working phlebotomy at nursing homes, which as far as i know has NOTHING to do with what i really want to do eventually at all. i am very discouraged. she keeps talking over me.
I still think you should take it up the chain, or point out the HY00GE discrepancies between what you were told at orientation and what you're being told now-if, of course, you're still interested in going back to school.
