I forget this sort of thing, every year. The child comes home on the last day of school with little packages marked 'for mom and dad' - things he has made in AHRT class - and i cry an embarassing amount in reality, only a small amount, but - yeah. still crying mother over child's art creations. *embarassed ( Read more... )

Aww! My mother still has the awkward, ugly, misshapen turquoise bowl I made in art class in 6th grade. :D We glazed and fired them.

It makes me so happy. :)

Aww :) The family Christmas tree still has the egg-carton, glitter and string pair of bells I made in playgroup when I was three years old.

The sleepy thing? If you have another reason to be up at the lark (eg work, college) you'll get used to sleeping less and getting your energy elsewhere, it's just a new routine. When I was looking for work once I was convinced I could only hold down an evening job as I struggled to surface before lunchtime, but soon I was up to catch a 7.30am bus to work. Might not be so much fun, but it's doable, you just get used to it without trying.
