I would have run over that woman and backed up and run over her again for good measure. The librarian should have informed her that Klan manuals have not been transcribed into braille yet. Or better yet, switched dust jackets on a couple of transcribed Toni Morrison books or something.

Perhaps you could post the address to the publishers of some of those books you mentioned and we could all send them hate mail. In braille.

Oy and gevalt. See, my mom is a devotee - that's really the word for it - of Dr. Laura. Every day when I came home from school, for about three years, she had her on the radio, blaring throughout the house. And she bought the books, and I started reading them when I was 12 or 13, because, hey, unread books.

And now I'm a grownup and there's been lots of brain-scrubbing and some therapy. Aaaaaaaaugh.

Panty peeler beer sounds like it would taste absolutely atrocious, like splenda and vodka. Except as beer. Um.
