Boring appointment with pain management guy. He approves of the new treatment regimen (lidoderm patches as needed + diclofenac (a popular European NSAID, one does feel on the cutting edge) 2x daily) and wants me to see Primary Care Guy so I can take something for the damage which will inevitably be caused to my stomach by the pain medication. The goal of every cat is to try not to have a good picture taken, while also being right where you need to walk so you will step on him and give him an excuse to howl and scratch your ankles.

Hey...don't feel like a lousy mother. I bet you remember your kid's name. I am always yelling at the wrong one, or better yet, calling them by the cat's name.

Done all of those things. *laugh* Called the cats by the kid's name, the kid by both cat's names, the kid by the spouse's name and vice versa, and occasionally when the cats AND the kid are all being problems I just shout "EVERYTHING UNDER FIVE FEET IN THIS HOUSE IS ON NOTICE."

"EVERYTHING UNDER FIVE FEET IN THIS HOUSE IS ON NOTICE."

YES! Except my oldest is now taller than me (its not hard to be taller than me).

I always feel so stupid when I have to take a kid to the ER and they ask for a birthday, I have to stop and think carefully.

I once replied "Okay, my kid obviously needs stitches and the best thing you can think of to do is ask me to remember the exact date of an event that involved you people drugging me?"

The doctor blinked. The nurse excused herself and went down the hall to the break room, where my spies inform me she giggled madly before regaining enough composure to return.

I hope the Diclofenac helps. I've been taking it daily for about 6 years now, for the RA swelling, and my tummy is still happy, but it's made of iron anyway.

Sorry about the ankle, but glad the patches seem to help.:)

It's helping for a lot of it? It's fine for everything except the knees (which are like, twenty years worth of screwed up) and the ankle (at least ten years worth of screwed up). <3
