can't steal happiness

* Hotel reservations for the NJ SPN con have been made. So, just one more thing to go... but with the hotel room and the tickets taken care of, the plans are definitely set. (!!!!) Gah, still can't believe it! I'm sure I'll be pinching myself up until that first weekend in March.

Oooh, I love that sweater! It's so very Chuck. :D

Hee, that's so funny, that we've both purchased things we've coveted for months and posted about it on the same night! :)

I knew it was Ned's dad that saved Ned and Olive the moment I saw his hat and heard his voice. I just knew it couldn't have been Charles... Charles is too much of an asshat. I'm beginning to think that maybe Ned's dad (I hope we find out his name, and also Ned's last name) didn't mean to abandon Ned, but had to because of Dwight (and possibly Charles). Those watches seem to mean an awful lot, and I hope we find out what that all means too.

When Chuck found those two buttons and was talking about her dad, I couldn't help but think of Coraline. Heh. :P ( ... )

I love that you said that, because it's the exact thing I thought when I saw it. :)

Hee, great fashion minds.... *g*

LOL So true. While rescuing Ned and Olive would have been a good way for Charles Charles to redeem himself, it was just a little too good to be true. Poor Chuck; at least her aunt and mother are awesome. And that would be lovely if Ned's father didn't abandon any of his sons out of coldness or cruelty. It might even help Ned mend his broken heart a little if he ever finds out.

When Chuck found those two buttons and was talking about her dad, I couldn't help but think of Coraline.

LOL! Oh gawd. Charles Charles isn't only a dick... he's an evil Other Father!

I know, right? I was like "Pigby!" And then, well, where IS she? And where's our beautiful alive-again retriever??

I think it's because she seems so vulnerable and fragile... which is kind of a nice contrast to Lily's more blunt and sassy ways.So perfectly put ( ... )

Hee, yeah, I immediately thought it was something Chuck would wear! Her wardrobe is fabulous, and I'm glad you have a Chuck piece to call your own now. :)

Poor Chuck indeed. :( She does have an awesome aunt and mom though, that's for sure! And an awesome Pie Maker. :D I think it would be a nice twist if we found out Ned's dad didn't abandon him (and his brothers) on purpose. Charles and Dwight definitely don't seem like nice guys, and there's definitely something up with them. It would be nice if Ned and his dad can reconcile and make up for lost time. That would mean so much to Ned. (I've also wondered if maybe Ned's dad has the same gift?)

Hee! Charles Charles as an Other Father actually makes a lot of sense. ;)

Yeah, bring back Digby and Pigby! There's a lot to hope for in just three episodes, isn't there? *sigh* I hope we get a sastifying conclusion... well, as satisfying an end to a show that shouldn't have been cancelled in the first place can be.

Hee, yeah, there is a lot of tongue-in-cheek innuendo! In the last episode, I ( ... )

*dubs it, officially, the Chuck Sweater* :)

She does have an awesome aunt and mom though, that's for sure! And an awesome Pie MakerOh yes! Can't forget her Pie Maker. :) Speaking of, I love how he refers to them as family. It's like they go beyond boyfriend/girlfriend (but not in a weird, incestuous familial way either) with their shared and--when not-shared--rather parallel histories. I've seen some speculation about Ned's dad having the gift as well, and I really like that idea. It certainly would go a long way toward explaining his actions (maybe he didn't realize Ned shared the gift? maybe he did, and went in search of answers about it? maybe he was simply motivated by a sense of protection-in-absence ( ... )

:) Yellow's such a tricky color, but this one? Perfect. I'm stupidly enamored with a piece of clothing. LOL

Mwahahahaa. *cough*

I have a sweater like that too, I love it.

Plaid shirt, hell I have them..wool is usually lined, if not, TIGHTS..that's what I wear.

And I was thinking about how some of these freakin' reality shows are on the air..and yet Pushing Daisies is off..it's the mentality of most of the viewing audience..they love those freakin' useless shows instead of being truly entertained..and it's the REST of us that suffer.

Forgot to add, BON IVER for the win!!!!!!!

and with everyone going to the con in NJ in March, I'm seriously thinking of going..or maybe not, but I might, it's only 5 hours by train away from here.

Do you? Awesome. :) Funny thing is, I'm so sensitive to wool that even my winter coat bothers me sometimes--through the lining and through my layers of clothing. It's really quite pathetic. *g* But I have my eye on one plaid skirt in particular and plan to snag it the next time it's available in my size.

Precisely. It seems the exception to the rule when smart, well-written television stays on the air (or even makes it past the pilot stage).

So in love with Bon Iver!

That would be lovely if you decide to go. :) And it's only a 45 minute flight (of course, the cost is quite a bit more than for a train ticket).

YAY!!! The album is very fitting, he did write it in a cabin in the woods. Plus, he looks like a lumberjack. Haha. Although, I have read about some people getting really depressed when they listen to the album so I would be careful about playing it too much.* That's when you switch back to Band of Horses. I think if BoH and Bon Iver went on tour together my heart would explode with joy. Literally. And I would have to learn how to be a roadie like A.S.A.P.

I have never seen Pushing Daisies but seeing 'The Norwegians' has perked up my interest a bit.

I love your sweater! I think that stores think that everyone has the same body and height. It's annoying for the people who are 5'11" too. Trust me.

Random question: Have you been to NJ before?

*edited for clarity but I am sure it did not make it any better?**

** Ignore me. I don't make any sense.

LOL He does look lumberjack-ish. But then, it seems like a lot of indie rockers are sporting the Grizzly Adams beard these days. *g* Yeah, I can imagine the music being depressing, especially given the right combination of bleak weather and bleak mood. But it reminds me most of the beauty of winter: the fragility of ice and snow, how clean and stark and quiet everything is. LOL, yeah. A steady diet of Bon Iver and Band of Horses seems very well balanced. :)
