I do not measure time now, time measures me.

Just wanted to say another big, squishy THANK YOU for all the birthday messages. You all rockses my sockses. ♥ (Oh, I'll never get Gollum to leave my head.)

Fic! halfdutch wrote me hilariously brilliant Lostfic: "According to Plan" in which Hurley has a scheme to get Sawyer and Kate back together (spoilers for episode 3.09 "Stranger in a Strange Land"). ( Read more... )

thanks, harry potter, neville longbottom is made of awesome

Happy (late) Birthday! Sorry for the lateness. My week has had me quite scatterbrained.

Plus, hell, it's already March and I too will be having another birthday soon. And I know how you feel about February. I feel the same way about March. Though I've only really had a former friend (yes, the one who moved out) say that March was the worst month. And I felt silly, but I was offended. And, I like my birth day. First day of spring, right on the Pisces/Aries cusp, first day of the zodiac year (at least I think so; this from a book should not have been perusing at work; and I had been unaware of this first day of the zodiac year thing up till then)...

I will spare you the OMG!, I can't believe I'm gonna be 28, since I have a good friend who frets because she's 26 and we get in mock fights about the fact that I'm older and fine with my age.

This post started out pretty articulate. I don't know what happened here. Sorry. ;)

Thanks, Cristella! :D And no problem... note how stupidly late I am with responding!

Since my mom is an Aries and my dad a Pisces, I think being on the cusp is 100% perfect. March is a transition month, which makes it even more interesting and deserving of some love. Screw that idiot roommate. *g*

The thing is, I don't think it's really the age itself (well, most of the time), but finding yourself at X years so quickly, wondering where the time went. It's weird to contemplate that half my life ago I was 15, when it doesn't seem that far back.

I'm a fan of Glaswegian accents myself. *smile*

Now who would that be...? ;P

Btw, caught Gerry's appearance on Craig's show. Two Scots talking is like music to the ears.

When I turned 30, I didn't feel any different than I did at 29. My last birthday, however, (which was 37) turned out to be much more traumatic for some reason.

I like thirty a lot better when I hear it in my head with a Glaswegian accent.

A big, huge grin. YES. :D

That figures... sneaky birthdays.

I remember freaking out at 20, which seems nothing but silly now.

So the key to coping with any birthday is: Glaswegian accents. Better yet, just grab a pretty Glaswegian (use of voice optional).

Awww, yay! So glad you liked your fic! :) And I didn't realize this was a landmark birthday. (Those kinda suck, don't they?) Here's to having a great time in your 30s! :)

And hmm, sounds like Dom is resigned to leaving. Or just being enigmatic. I can only imagine the original actors' frustation with being so sidelined, so it might be a relief to leave.

And it might be better for his career, given the show's slide downhill in the ratings and his constant lack of, well, work on it. As much as he loves surfing, Dom doesn't strike me as the lazy, beachbum type who would be satisfied with just catching waves everyday and, oh yeah, doing some scenes here and there.

On the other hand, I started watching because of him and still think Charlie's one of the most interesting characters. If they'd just explore the depth that is there....

Okay, I honestly didn't mean to turn this comment into a rant! Eep.
