Just wanted to say another big, squishy THANK YOU for all the birthday messages. You all rockses my sockses. ♥ (Oh, I'll never get Gollum to leave my head.)
Fic!
halfdutch wrote me hilariously brilliant Lostfic:

Plus, hell, it's already March and I too will be having another birthday soon. And I know how you feel about February. I feel the same way about March. Though I've only really had a former friend (yes, the one who moved out) say that March was the worst month. And I felt silly, but I was offended. And, I like my birth day. First day of spring, right on the Pisces/Aries cusp, first day of the zodiac year (at least I think so; this from a book should not have been perusing at work; and I had been unaware of this first day of the zodiac year thing up till then)...
I will spare you the OMG!, I can't believe I'm gonna be 28, since I have a good friend who frets because she's 26 and we get in mock fights about the fact that I'm older and fine with my age.
This post started out pretty articulate. I don't know what happened here. Sorry. ;)

Since my mom is an Aries and my dad a Pisces, I think being on the cusp is 100% perfect. March is a transition month, which makes it even more interesting and deserving of some love. Screw that idiot roommate. *g*
The thing is, I don't think it's really the age itself (well, most of the time), but finding yourself at X years so quickly, wondering where the time went. It's weird to contemplate that half my life ago I was 15, when it doesn't seem that far back.

Btw, caught Gerry's appearance on Craig's show. Two Scots talking is like music to the ears.

I like thirty a lot better when I hear it in my head with a Glaswegian accent.
A big, huge grin. YES. :D

I remember freaking out at 20, which seems nothing but silly now.
So the key to coping with any birthday is: Glaswegian accents. Better yet, just grab a pretty Glaswegian (use of voice optional).

And hmm, sounds like Dom is resigned to leaving. Or just being enigmatic. I can only imagine the original actors' frustation with being so sidelined, so it might be a relief to leave.

On the other hand, I started watching because of him and still think Charlie's one of the most interesting characters. If they'd just explore the depth that is there....
Okay, I honestly didn't mean to turn this comment into a rant! Eep.
