Finding Amanda

Jenn and I saw Finding Amanda via Film Society this evening. It was a cute little movie, but nothing too tremendous. I laughed a lot at the one-liners during the movie, but after I thought about it on the way home, I realized it didn't hold up very well. Matthew Broderick and Brittany Snow do really well, however. Did you read Haunted? I feel like I'm putting myself out on a limb here, because I did and I loved it and I know deep down this makes me a massively disturbed and possibly psychotic individual. But it was a really good book. And sometimes I think you have to be a little nuts to really enjoy Palahniuk anyway.

I really hated Haunted, actually. I thought he completely sacrificed story and characterization for shock value. And it's a shame, because I really liked Diary, Choke, Survivor, and especially Lullaby. But to each their own.

I just need time to shop, and the energy to cook. I've been feeling so drained at the end of my workday that I can't bring myself to cook. But, I'm hoping that the new job and the change of scenery will energize me.
