Is yoga making me more patient?

Good yoga class tonight. I was in the bamboo studio for the first time. It's smaller than the earth studio, but it was nice. The class was packed, and so it got really hot, but yours truly was right under the air conditioning vent. Hell yeah! ;) Anyhow, my planks are getting easier, my shoulder stand is stronger, and I was sort of able to hold ( Read more... )

I don't know that I would like Yoga under an AC vent, make your muscles all kinds of confused O_0. And yes, McD's after yoga is about 30 different shades of wrong. But at least it was chicken ;-P

It's only been a week, but this "no yoga til my toe heals" thing is already making me antsy.

This was a pretty active vinyasa class, so I was sweating bullets and grateful for the AC! Otherwise, I would have gotten two sweaty to hold some of those arm balancing poses.

The McDonalds is right across the street from the yoga studio. I couldn't help it! ;)

Can you work on some of the seated poses and twists in lieu of the sun salutations, standing poses? At least you'll be able to do some stuff.

Hehe, I have a coffee shop by my studio. The have very yummy cookies. That's all I'm saying.

I can do some on my own, but the classes I've been going to are morning vinyasa's and they are pretty heavy on the sun salutations, and I can't even doing downward dog right now! I'll probably be going back the week after next (once I get the okay from my doctor), and I'll just have to modify the poses to suit my toe (ie no weight on that foot).

My yoga studio has cookies for us after class! They're yummy. Sometimes they are Teddy Grahms!

Yeah, I can see how morning vinyasas would not be easy on the toes! You could do a lot of down dog splits, but you'd be so unbalanced working only one side. ;)

On a side note, I think down dogs have really helped with my upper body strength.
