          In other computer-y news, I'm building a new PC in the next couple weeks, preferably before Christmas (but after Finals through the 19th), though I may end up waiting until January depending on how busy things get at home. I still haven't made up my mind on a few things, i.e. which CPU/motherboard/RAM to get, though I'll likely end up

I wanted a cool and preferably quiet case; the one i have now overheats relatively easily and is awfully loud to boot. The Antec is well-designed inside and out, and I wanted a pretty case :p
(The one you got looks nice, though :) Well done.)
I'll probably end up with the cheaper RAM, and the quad core CPU... I can always get more/faster RAM later :p

What I plan to do is run the two 500GB drives as a RAID 1 array, serving as my C: drive. I also have two PATA drives, at 750GB and 500GB. That'll put me at over 1.5TB, even including the gigabytes lost to marketing (1,000,000,000 bytes is not a gig!) and mirroring. I don't *really* need two additional, possibly-unreliable 250GB SATA drives, plus they'd add heat and take up space inside.
If anything, I'll probably keep one drive in my current PC case, slap Windows XP on it, and give the case away to someone who doesn't need much from their computer.
The drive that I think is dying, I will probably send to somebody with music/porn/something.
