Smooth Transition So Far

For the past few (4?) years my desktop computer has actually been a laptop. I added an external monitor and a larger, easier to use, keyboard and mouse and had the best of both worlds where I could just disconnect a couple of things and take my entire software environment with me when I wanted to go someplace ( Read more... )

I have a Mini at home and a newer model of Mini (which no longer has a built-in DVD drive but is faster and has more memory) at work. They've worked well for me. I just wish it were possible to connect two monitors in non-mirror mode.

Everything I read (or see on YouTube) says it is possible going back at least to the 2011 models. One gets attached through the Thunderbolt port and the other HDMI. I haven't tried it yet but that ability is something I'm interested in using.

It seems people have tried HDMI spliters or going Thunderbolt to dual-DVI and realized that those don't have multiple signals.
