[THIS FACE, JOHTO]

[Otacon, sitting on the bed in his hotel room with a sleeping Abra on his lap, looks like he's in a fantastic mood. And given the state he was in not a that long ago, the shift may come as a bit of a surprise ( Read more... )

[Is he really serious?]

Usually... mutated beings with multiple heads don't have two brains... Or at least, not two functioning ones... They also don't tend to live long...

[How the hell did he think that made sense?]

I think the saying actually means that each head will fight the other and they'll never get anything done.

[You dropped him on his head, didn't you]

That doesn't make sense.

Yes, actually, it does.

[He must have. Goddammit.]

If something has two heads which hypothetically had separate brains, it wouldn't be able to decide on anything because the body wouldn't know which mind to obey.

That's what I'm trying to say. It wouldn't win any races. So the whole point still stands.

Is that what that phrase means? I'd heard it once or twice but never knew...
How very informative! I suppose a horse with two heads would be terribly smart. Imagine how many puzzles it could solve! That is, if horses can solve puzzles.

It does feel a bit strange meeting someone you've already met, but I suppose it can never be bad to meet people, even if you've met them before!

I'm sure it means something like that.

Sure, it's weird, but you get another chance to make a first impression.

.... I'm pretty sure that's not what that saying means.

[She sounds amused, though. And relieved. He looks happy. What happened?]

You look perky.

You think so?

[She shakes her head, smiling, but won't argue with him. She's more interested in finding out what's got him smiling like that.]

I can see so. Did something good happen?

[Just... what.]

You're not going to beat the gym leader before me.

[He'll just stick with the part that makes sense.]

We'll see about that, won't we?

Maybe I'll go challenge the gym leader right now.

[Competitive much?]

Or maybe you won't.

[He grabbed liquid's wrist and pulled him onto the bed, leaving an indignant Abra to float off in search of somewhere he could be left alone.]

That certainly is sound advice, given the circumstances here! I'm sure quite a few would take such words to heart.

And good luck with your Gym battle tomorrow, of course!

I hope so, at least.

Thanks a lot. I think we'll be okay as long as we're confident.

I think with that sort of attitude, you'll do just fine!
