Toph staggered out of the pod and onto her hands and knees on the floor. What was- where? Where was the dirt? The Earth?

"H-hello?" The computerized voice confused her. She'd been alone, on her way to meet back up with the Avatar's group. Where had all this.. metal.. come from?

After pulling herself upright, she found a wall and followed it, out into the hallway. She could barely see.

Erek's head swung round as he caught the sound of a voice in the hallways behind him. The outside could wait, can't it?

He changed direction and padded back towards the unknown person, picking up his pace as he got closer to the faint sounds of movement. They weren't far - he soon turned a corner and found himself approaching a girl. She seemed human, from what he could tell...

"Hello?" he called, relief colouring his cautious tone.

There was someone coming. She frowned, the metal flooring making it hard to watch him approach.

"What the heck's going on? What's this place?"

If she weren't the type to put on a brave face at all costs, she would've cowered against the wall. Everything felt so wrong.

So much for finding someone who knew more than he did. Erek looked closer, frowning with concern. "It... seems to be kind of complicated. I'll explain what I know, but- are you all right?"

Since his adventure in New Metropolis and Salvage of what Imperiex left of his mainframe, Computo, he had hardly left his laboratory/quarters, in his bid to repair the damaged unit. The only reason he had to leave the room was to render parts from the replicator or dismantle appliances. What he needed now was a suitable power source ( ... )

Erek hadn't quite decided how he was going to handle things if he actually found anyone down here. And it looked like he was out of time to deliberate on that, he noticed.

Curious about whoever this was - and hopeful that he'd just found an explanation or two - the Chee hurried towards him, only slowing down as he drew close. Definitely an unfamiliar species to go with the unfamiliar technology. This looked promising.

"Hello," he said, polite but wary. "I'm guessing you're part of the crew here?"

"Only if you consider the people her a functioning unit. We hadn't had the chance to accommodate leadership or any organization what so ever." And Brainy would presume that the most diplomatic thing to do was to suggest to the group that they should elect a leader from group.

"My name is Brainiac 5." How interesting. This AI seemed almost human, and it knew 21st century English, anyway. "My instruments are indicating you're using holographic technology, and you're speaking 21st century American English- I wasn't aware artificial intelligence was that advanced in that era."

"Mine's Erek," he said, startled at being analysed so fast. So much for disguise - this guy had seen right through his cover. He shifted on his feet a little, taking a closer look with his own sensors. "That depends on where you look for it. My creators were a race called Pemalites: my people and I just... happen to live among humans."

He paused, hologram wearing a blank look for a moment as he considered deactivating it. "You don't match any species I've heard of, either."

Hilde was going about her day, coming inside from the outside. She ran into another new face.

"Hey there." She was in a chipper mood. "Another newbie?" she came to pause in front of him. "Or have I just missed you around here so far?" after all this place was huge.

"Uh, hi," he responded, startled a little. Her cheerfulness was so incongruous with his own mood - and on the other hand, it was always good to meet someone who seemed friendly.

"I pretty much just climbed out of the pod," he added, smiling a little. "So people randomly popping out of those happens a lot here?"

Hilde's face sobered at this commet. "Yes, I am afraid. I did as well, a while back. My partner and I are working on stopping and reversing that whole process but... well, we're still on the 'working' part."

She reapplied her smile "My name is Hilde Schbeiker, I'd be happy to show you around if you like." having been in his shoes months before, she knew how badly this person could use a friend or helping hand at the moment.

He perked up curiously at the mention of her project, but nodded. He'd have to ask more about that later, and see if he could lend them some help.

"Erek King. And that would be really kind of you, thanks. I have no idea what part of the universe I'm in any more, but I don't want to get lost, too." He grinned.

Quatre was wandering through the 'arrival area', keeping an eye out for new people. Granted, he was specifically looking to make sure no one arrived from his own version of his own world alone, but he wasn't going to ignore anyone else. That just wasn't his nature. As he walked, he came upon someone new.

"Hello?" he called.

Erek picked up his pace on spotting another person wandering the halls. "Hello!" he answered, approaching the boy - he seemed human at first glance, anyway. Which wasn't quite what Erek would expect here.

"I don't suppose you know what's going on here, do you?" he added, though politely.

Quatre offered to other boy a smile.

"I know a bit," he said. "I'm Quatre Raberba Winner."

He couldn't help returning the smile, though his was a little weaker. "Erek King. It's nice to meet you, aside from the circumstances."
