Tonight I'm staying at my parents' since tomorrow we'll have our usual big Christmas lunch with the relatives.

It's a bit sad how fast Christmas snuck up on me this year.
For years I kept fantasizing about how I'd prepare and decorate for Christmas once I managed to move into my own place...

Heh, you at least managed a tree! It's cheaper to sponge off everyone else's amazing decorations anyway, especially if you're going to be elsewhere on the day itself. :)

Yeah, I think part of the problem was that I knew few people would see my decorations so I didn't have much incentive to decorate.
It still bummed me out XD

Oh, this is better than what I did, which was nothing! The best I could do was put my Christmas cards on a table. When you live by yourself, Christmas decorations seem so pointless if you aren't having guests.

How was Christmas with the parents? Mine was pretty good! I am even kind of surprised at how good it was.

May the rest of the season be bright, and your New Year full of pleasant adventures and rewarding events!

I know, part of the problem was that I knew I'd have few guests during those days.
Still, I spent years harassing my mother cause she never liked to decorate, it was always the bare minimum and she refused to let me buy even new tree decorations! It was frustrating, and yet the first year I have free reign I don't decorate at all XD
