In my little corner of the blogosphere my friends have been shocked and saddened by the relatively sudden passing of dancingshaman. Huge efforts have been made to assist britgeekgirl in her time of need. This floors me completely, and gives me a small bit of hope for humanity as a whole ( Read more... )

I will be happy to (re-)induct you into the Cult of Johanna at BayCon. She is every bit as wonderful as she appears; I did not know Alex nearly as long or as well as I would have liked. And yes, seeing how much everyone has done for her in the past four days has been incredibly heartening.

I am overwhlemed at seeing alot of my friends come together in all this.., I am glad we all can do something to help Johanna
last few days everytime I read LJ I start to cry...

Alex knew he was cared about deeply. There was a Sat gathering when news of his 6 month timeline came out. It was before we went into the Thanksgiving Holidays. Many people focused on Alex. Everytime I heard, there were people ready to visit or help out or just talk with him.

And now Johanna is finding out the true depth of the impact she has made. She has entertained and delighted many a con goer.
