Awwww. Dean's all frazzled, what with Dana and Sam.

I like that Dean let Sam go off without trying to force him to stay, even though you know that he wants to be with him. Did he know that Sam would be back?
Also, did Sam always know that he was going to come back to them, or did something happen to make him realise that Dean and Dana was all he heeded?
