Oh yeah. You know how much I love MY HUSBAND MR. JOSH HOMME, but...yeah. He is so very shiny.

This was first-come first-seated....apparently they had to fill overflow rooms, and the arena seats 20,000!

I had to listen to "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield twice. Well, that's just messed up.

Good the focus is moving to the general election; hope the party doesn't fuck him over. Look, I like Hillary, and I have my doubts about Obama, but I get that how he is stronger against McCain and that's what counts.

He brings the people, he has strong momentum. So, hey, if I can suck up and get over the whole Clinton nostalga, why can't the party?

Oh, and the superdelegates thing? The hell?

If Obama has more pledged delegates going into the convention, there's no way the superdelegates can throw their weight in the opposite direction. It would destroy the party. I was seeing some math that said Clinton would have to get 63% of the vote in Texas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania to beat him in pledged delegates. I really don't see that happening -- the only state she's gone over 60% in so far is Arkansas.

If Hillary starts really making noise about seating delegates from Michigan and Florida, I'm going to be pissed. I think stripping them of their delegates in the first place was absolutely idiotic (must keep Iowa and New Hampshire thinking they are special little snowflakes!), but those were the rules of the game when they started this campaign. Can't go back and change 'em now.

Don't put *anything* past the Clintons. Perhaps this campaign has taught you why we on the right hate them. Policy is a big part of it--we assume their preferred policies are indistinguishable from Obama's. This makes us mad because we oppose those policies. But they'll toss their preferred policies in a second if it is politically convenient. Attack them as left-wing and you're branded as a member of the vast right-wing conspiracy. Attack them as monstrous people and...you're branded as a member of the vast right-wing conspiracy. They're awful, and one positive of this campaign is that the part of the left that actually believes in something other the exercise of power as an end in itself has discovered the true nature of the Clintons. Vote for them in November if, by some miracle, Hillary manages to derail Obama. I may even join you because I loathe McCain. But never forget this primary. Never forget that, for the Clintons, their own power comes first.

Listen, I was never a huge fan of the Clintons -- I think it's sad that the bar has been set so low by Bush that we now look back on the Clinton administration like it was some beacon of progressive politics, full of rainbows and lollypops. Not how I remember it, that's for sure. A vote for a Clinton is a vote for machine politics, and that's not how I prefer to vote. But, you know, in a Clinton/McCain matchup, I'd really like to have some control over my own vagina, so I'd be voting Hillary in that case. She is a friend to vaginas everywhere!
