Yes, I know it's been everywhere today, and I know a lot of people hate Sarah Silverman (and Jimmy Kimmel...and Matt Damon, for that matter) -- but the more I watch this, the funnier it gets.

Well, you know I'm a longtime Sarah Silverman fan. (Sure, she was kinda mean to Britney at the VMAs -- but when she said that line about how if Amy Winehouse isn't Jewish someone should tell her face? Segev and I both fell out laughing.) And I suddenly have a new appreciation for Matt Damon. Everyone wins!

"Knock Knock!"

"Who's that knocking at my door?"

"Imfuh"

"imfuh Who?"

"I'm fucking Matt Damon!"

I think that Sarah Silverman is sometimes funny, but other times pushes too hard to be outrageous or offensive. (Not that I have anything against outrageousness or offensiveness. I love outrageousness and offensiveness. But a comedian still needs to be, you known, funny, even insightful, when being outrageous or offensive, and I think she sometimes forgets or ignores that.) This particular style of celebrity humor is only funny when the celebrity in question plays along. Which he did, and so it's pretty damn funny. (At least the first time. It's a one joke skit, and so I can see it wearing out its welcome pretty quickly if I play it a bunch of times over and over.)

i like sarah silverman, and i can tolerate matt damon. but i found this clip to be absa-lootly funnyless, even now as i'm watching it a second time. maybe it's the bleeps?

i think i'm turning into a curmudgeon or something.

Actually, I was kinda "eh" the first time I watched it...until the hip-hop breakdown. Maybe I'm just a sucker for hip-hop breakdowns in the middle of songs. I've been watching too much Flight of the Conchords.

I KNEW IT! All these years, I knew there was a reason no one had ever met you! (Well, actually, I figured you were a hyperintelligent robot, but my second hypothesis was TOTALLY that you were Matt Damon.)
