I am loving American Horror Story but it is pretty creepy if you aren't a horror show watcher. I think the crazy teenboy is my favorite so far and yes, his daydream/fantasy was very well told and the visual of his face in that makeup is amazing. Mostly I think the flashbacks at the beginning with the various murders in the house are the best part.
I was just talking to someone else about SPN and how Sam and Dean need that outside perspective that Castiel brought to the show - not only am I missing one of my favorite characters on the show, but it's bad story-telling to expect that just two leads can make a well-rounded show after seven years. I am so happy Pysch and The Walking Dead are back, because SPN just isn't cutting it.
:D Another person who's watching this show!!! I still need to watch this week's episode, but I hope it's decent! And I will be watching The Walking Dead tonight~ Super excited for Halloween this year~
I agree, the storyline has not been as good as the earlier seasons for Supernatural... but it will always be one of my fandoms to fall back on for reading some of my favorite fics.
We still haven't watched last week's AHS episode - it is so intense and everyone here has had the flu, so every time we go to watch it, someone says, "I don't think I have the energy today". Probably will watch it tomorrow. But I am so loving this show - best new show of the year so far, by a wide margain. We just got around to watching the premiere of Walking Dead and holy crap!! The end shocked the shit out of me! Plus, I know he is a dirty racist redneck, but I love Daryl so much.
Uh, extra link freaked me out, when the zombie was all Argh at the screen. Awesome. ;)
SPN is still the fandom I read the most fics in - probably will be for a very long time, even after the show ends. But I think nothing will ever be the first five seasons of this show - but hey, five seasons of good solid story is more than most shows get.
I read YA a while ago, but it didn't click. X-Factor, on the other hand, is really, really good (or at least I think so). Apparently, it's the comic where the characters who don't fit in the other Marvel comics go. Still. It's awesome.
Ooh, thanks for the rec! I will try to read X-Factor! Do you think I should start at the beginning or go from the series that started in 2005? (actually have NO CLUE about American comics)
Oh, definitely the 2005 version. X-Factor is more or less the only Marvel comic I read, so prior knowledge of the series isn't really necessary (when in doubt, there is always wikipedia).
