So life has been pretty boring to me... I've started watching a few new shows, along with catching up to others!
First, I would like to rec The Fades.
About this average British teen named Paul who just happens to view something while visiting the abandoned mall with his best friend, Mac. It turns out that he's an Angelic, one of the few that can see the Fades, people who have died and haven't been accepted into heaven. And the Fades kinda look like zombies and now somehow regained the ability to touch people... and GOT IT BY EATING HUMAN FLESH!!! Now Paul's in the middle of the ongoing conflict between the Fades and the Angelics and trying to prevent the Fades from breaking back into the world and destroying the human race... You would like this show if you're starving for a more horror-filled show during the Doctor Who hiatus and really liked some of the actors in Skins UK. (Joe Dempsie (gen 1), Daniel Kaluuyya (gen 2), and Lily Loveless (gen 2))
Here's a graphic (pretty cool, no?):
Also, I saw American Horror Story. The only scary movie that I've ever seen is The Ring and I can't bear to watch anything with horror (except Supernatural, but it's not so bad... the Yellow Eyed Demon in the first episode though? SCARY!) I kinda fast forward through the sex and gruesome parts, which is kinda my life if I want to watch all the shows and still have time to study. But I do like this scene where the sociopathic teen is fantasizing about walking in the school all BAMF...
Another thing I got into was YOUNG AVENGERS!!!! I know, the closest legit bookstore to my downtown campus is now locally owned book and comic book stores~ (since Borders closed and all the B&N are at least 30 minutes away on the bus) Tiny comic book store person was friendly and it helped that I bought a book and that they probably have been getting more people than ever with DC relaunch. My OTP for this fandom is Billy/Teddy (Wiccan and Hulkling) AND IT'S CANON! I saw fanart for this pairing so much on tumblr, and Tony/Steve is getting a lot of attention because Avengers movie and SO MUCH CONTEXT IN THE COMICS!
P.S., tried to keep watching Supernatural, but WTF CASTIEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Liked the tiny part with crazy!Cas but then he walks into a lake and the show does not have the same appeal to me anymore... I just caught up to Fringe though~ (had been watching seasons 2 and 3 a bit but missed a ton of episodes, therefore TONS of laptop time) My only reaction is PETERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR and boy, Olivia is such a BAMF. Love the fact that Lincoln is back! Love New Girl and I will support Pan Am and Walking Dead!
