5 cobweb-ridden questions

Jul 11, 2005 12:43

First off, thanks for all the welcomes. And the mocking.

A very, very long time ago, i asked to take part in the interview meme. It's time i got around to answering those.

From sylvantechie:

What pieces of art do you have in your home, and why that art instead of some other? )

meme, thinking

I haven't done the interview meme in ages, and it's always fun. I'd enjoy five questions from you.

Well, i've held that meme in secret for ages, so there you go.

Let's see... five questions...

1- You host. You host gatherings both large and small, and of varied theme. What about hosting do you most enjoy and why?
2- In regards to cooking, what's the neatest tip you discovered yourself and most want to show people?
3- How would your life be different if you didn't have a religion that you identified with?
4- Teaching and sharing run as themes through your life. Obviously, they're related, but assuming they could be separated, which would you choose if you couldn't do both?
5- You have the gift of tongues. You are in a library containing all writing from throughout human history. You have time and inclination. What are the first few things you check out?

What could you possibly want to know about me at this stage? Still, if you're up for it, I think you'd pose good questions that would be off the beaten path.

I love many of your pieces of art. You tend to choose small things.

Goodness. Off-beaten-path-questions. Lemme give it a go.

1- You've dropped everything and moved to a new city. You've dropped everything and started a new career. Do you see those as two different transformations, or two stages in the same one? How did the decision-making process differ?
2- You don't own a huge amount of stuff, because you purge your possessions mercilessly. What do you most regret throwing away or losing?
3- Alright, total beaten path here, as we all want to know: Chicago, DC, or the Big Apple?
4- What was the first thing you ever felt pride for creating or building?
5- Highlights, please, from your first Academy Award acceptance speech. To help: Tarantino, Michael Bay, Terry Gilliam, and Hillary Duff (her directorial debut) were your fellow nominees.

Goodness. You've had a few interviews already, which have covered much fertile ground. Let's see if i can't come up with something.

1- Which do you prefer to shape: clay or code? Why? Which behaves more predictably?
2- If you had the opportunity to say 30 words, which would be said to everyone in the world, what would they be? (It will be competently translated, and the translation is not bound by the wordcount, so let that not factor in.)
3- What do you get out of role-playing games?
4- What is the premise of a reality TV show that you would honestly want to watch?
5- You have the healing touch. Your hands cure disease and grant health. Where do you travel first? How do you make the decision?

Alrightythen. I don't know what all questions you've had in the past, so i apologize for any duplicates.

1- You moved recently. What the most important things to you about a prospective place to live?
2- It's been suggested that you pick better plays than i do. What makes a theatre production enjoyable for you?
3- Your current job involves moderately frequent travel. Is it more or less travel than you'd like? What do you most enjoy about that aspect of the job?
4- What was the last card game you played? What else was going on at the time?
5- When you were 14, what did you expect that you would end up doing for a living? What did you hope to do?
