The only misstranscription I see is блнзок for близок ("close"). The language is Russian and the meaning is "The end of false religion is near!" So I concur with your assessment of the contents. Googling a bit found an article with the same title on a Jehovah's Witnesses website.

Thanks for the translation.

Any idea on the entry title? "здравствунте" -- it was the first line in the letter, so i'm assuming it's a greeting of some sort.

Hah! I thought you knew what that meant before using it as the title of your post!

Yeah, it's a greeting. The proper spelling is Здравствуйте! (Having trouble with your Иs and Нs, aren't you?) This form is either formal singular or informal/formal plural. The root is obsolete здравие "health", so it's more-or-less equivalent to "Salutations!"

You give me too much credit. I assumed it wasn't offensive, and inferred some meaning based on its position in the letter, but it was all guesswork.

(Having trouble with your Иs and Нs, aren't you?)

Well, one was just a typo on my part. The other one was hand-written and looks like an H (reading someone's handwriting in an alphabet you're familiar with is hard enough...). I had more trouble guessing between "з" and "э".

It's like you got spam through the USPS!

It certainly made it past my filter.

... except spam is supposed to be easily distributed. Sending out a hundred of these, ball-point-pen style, doesn't quite balance the cost/benefit equation. Not to mention the complete lack of pornographic pictures in said mail (the lascivious woman was a remarkably chaste sort of lascivious).

And now i'm going to link to spamusement, because spam subject lines are funny.
