I finished reading Rose Madder today. For the longest time, I've been wondering why Stephen King is so popular. I guess his books are interesting. The one that I just finished was probably the most intense book I've ever read. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. I understand why the hungry movie adaptation folk haven't touched Rose Madder. A lot of the scenes are pretty heavy even for most rated R movies. The guy kills people by biting them to death. First you think that the whole book is about regular people getting through trying times up until the quest to save the baby from the one-eyed bull, Erinyes, gets thrown at you like a banana peel. Trippy stuff, man.
The thing about eBooks is that you don't realize how long a book is until you look it up on Wikipedia. 432 pages... I had no idea.
