Read It and Weep
The word thing about English is my teacher is so picky. Picky in terms of only a few things. She will lynch you if you tear paper out of your notebook and later tear off the fringes. She almost tried to kick one guy for doing that. For each quarter, we have to read 1000 pages of outside reading. The catch is that we can't read a book that we've already read in class and the book can't have a movie adaptation. So, that second rule eliminates a big amount of my bookshelf. No Fahrenheit 451. No The Fountainhead. No Seabiscuit. No Les Miserables. No Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy. No The Haunting of Hill House. I'm gonna have to buy some obscure, but interesting books.
