this is a sacred, ass-free zone
a series of unrelated drabbles that i was surprisingly sober while writing

Notes: I took drabble requests a few days ago. I've written about half of them; basically, the ones I had immediate ideas for. I will continue to work on the others, but I really need to start my fic for aificathon, so it might be a while before the ( Read more... )

OMG You're my new favorite person <3 You've managed to cram so much stuff into that drabble! Pickles, banter, shopping, mention of MPREG! :D

and possibly the biggest feather Kris has ever seen perched at a physics-defying angle on his head

I told you that was one implausibly big-ass feather! I was kind of wondering if they had thin filaments hanging down from the ceiling holding that damned hat up. But he looks beyond awesome.

It's not that Nick thinks JC is untalented, because clearly, the guy can sing, and sometimes he can even write a good song as long as you don't really pay attention to the lyrics too closely,

I lost it at this point, because the thought of any of the BSB criticizing other groups for nonsensical lyrics is absurd. I love their harmonies but no, the words, they just don't make sense.

RIGHT?? Oh the irony, it buuuuuurrrrnnnns. And then they're trying to figure out what 'I Want It That Way' is about. LOL FOREVER. Nick Carter, your logic is so illogical.

Did you ever read Lucy Hale's two MisTie's stories where Nsync go through a bunch of the top BSB songs and dissect them line by line, and then go through some of their own? They're so funny that I end up laughing out loud every time I read them.

But the point is, devil baby. It seems like a logical explanation.

Oh popslash, you take me back! I LOL'd so hard on this.

AND YOU WROTE BRAD AGAIN!! Your Brad makes my life, seriously. That last one was perfect and beautiful and WHY AREN'T THEY TOGETHER AGAIN?

My tinhat is giving me a signal from the stars... it says... hang on, just need to get my antenna up... beep beep beep beep... THEY WILL GET BACK TOGETHER SOMETIME DURING ADAM'S FIRST SOLO TOUR.

The stars have spoken to my tinhat. It must be true!

(which, okay, is maybe kind of closer to the truth than he usually lets on, aside from the part where Adam never watches him sleep and has yet to impregnate him with a half-vampire psychic super fetus capable of communicating from the womb, but still!)

Oh my god. It's been a long time since a single line of a fic has made me laugh so hard. You had no way of knowing that this reference would make my day so much, but oh my god did I laugh at this. I mean, I had to show it to my brother on a family weekend vacation, I laughed so hard. He's heard me and others rant about that plot point so many times, he needed to see it. And then it just got better.

And it's not some weird Katy Rule, either, because she doesn't care what they do as long as Kris doesn't care what she does (they discovered a long time ago that Don't Ask Don't Tell turns out to be a great policy when it involves long-distances relationships, especially when no valuable Arabic linguists are being fired in the process). Hee! I love love love the way that this Kris ( ... )

Be as incoherent as you like :P I appreciate it all the same!

Yes, Twilight. I refer to the psychic half-vampire fetus plot point as NOMNOMNOM. I'm sure you know why. I told my sister about it over Christmas last year, and now every time something is really gross or painful (particularly involving lady parts), my sister goes, "It's like NOMNOMNOM." I haven't even read that book (yet.) I couldn't make it through the third one! But I read the recaps that I think cleolinda or someone did, and those were 100 times better than the books themselves, so :P

These are all amazing. Ass-free zone! Kris not being impressed by Tim Gunn! (Can I say, randomly, that I feel for Kris because until this weekend I, too, had never seen Project Runway? I know, my life is tragic.) Pickles: the perfect food! And the last Adam/Brad one? OMG, it sort of broke my heart. I don't think I realized Brad was so YOUNG at Burning Man. And both of them were totally geeks in high school and probably felt like outsiders and found themselves in the desert and fell for each other and...*flails* I am always impressed by your ability to do so much in so few words, seriously.

Oh lord, that last one. You have no idea how long I spent last weekend trying to figure out an accurate Brad/Adam timeline. I'm *pretty* sure they actually went to 3 Burning Mans together--in 2005, 2006, and 2007. I have like, scant evidence for this, but it's there anyway. Yeah, Brad was 19 when they met. 19!! About to turn 20, but even so. I can't wait until I get to work on my Queen Bitch fic. It's going to be sooooo awesome. Well, I hope. I may beg you to beta again, if you are up for it.

So did you watch Project Runway then?? And what did you think??

I can't wait for your Queen Bitch fic either! I would totally beta, just let me know.

I did watch Project Runway when it premiered this weekend, and enjoyed it quite a lot. I'm not sure why I didn't watch it before - I don't watch a lot of TV, actually. But it's fun. I think I'm rooting for the Minnesotan dude who won this week who has like no formal training. I feel like he's what would happen if Kris Allen and Adam Lambert had a baby.

Let's not discuss what would happen in Kris and Adam had a baby. Since I'm about to start writing that, and I still have no idea how I want to go about it. Eeeep.
