You're the first person on my flist to post a rec list! Thank you, thank you! I can't wait to get started on these.

I've been watching Idol since the 4th season, but I never really cared (I liked Chris Daughtry, I won't lie, he was my favorite Idol contestant until this season) and it was pretty passive watching. BUT SEASON 8 OMG. Adam and Kris!

Also, I cannot wait to read miss_begonia's Borrowed and Blue, because I was a big fan of her slash for The OC (yes, The OC slash, I totally went there :P), and I love your JoLa comparison! PLATONIC HUSBANDS. I am so ready for this rec list. Anyway. Thank you for enabling me. :D

You know me. I LOVE ENABLING. It is pretty much my thing. I drag people into my fandoms whether they want to be there or not :P

Borrowed and Blue is FANTASTIC. It has an equally fantastic sequel, which I hope is linked from the original fic, but if not... *points upward*... I think call_me_loca linked it.

Kradam (still hate that pairing name, but if Kris can use it, so can I...) is very JoLa. And I think eventually people will get over getting-rid-of-Katy the way we did with getting-rid-of-Kelly and the fic will be ten times better.

Kradam is up there with Trickyfish for me on the list of "Bad Pairing Names," and I was pretty sure popslash had the market on bad names.

I haven't read much AI8 fic yet, but I agree that it should all get better if people stop getting rid of Katy, as I saw the difference after people left Kelly in the stories. And I kind of like Katy? I mean, I don't scour the internet for her, but I like the way Kris (and Adam) talk about her. She and Adam are going to get pedicures together on tour! And Kris is going to pay for them! :D

I think writers are still figuring out what to DO with her. Sometimes they ignore her completely, which doesn't really work, and sometimes it's all angsty, which is okay if that's what the fic is about, but... it could be better.

YES. I don't have her fics tagged for some reason, but some of them are just sooo perfect.
