My Kitten Mia

Here's a picture or two of my new kitten.  It was hard getting pics of her since she's quite camera shy:)

I know! She's tempermental though. That comes with the calico in her, I think. Every calico cat I've ever known has had twice the attitude normal cats have. In the middle ages they used to call them "Devil's Cats" and they were supposed to bring bad luck. I hope that's not true, Lol!

Nothing that cute could be a bringer of bad luck! She's delightful -- I love Calicos, they always have such interesting and beautiful colors in their coats.

She has this little black spot on her face that looks like a birthmark a la Marilyn Monroe! She's very cute and very vocal, especially when I'm late getting her wet food, which she prefers over her dry kibble. I'm not certain exactly how old she is but I'm going to take her to the vet soon for shots, deworming and to find out if she's old enough to have spayed yet.

She's so cute. I have trouble finding any kind of cat prettier than another because, seriously, they're all so damn good looking. I'm impressed by your skill as photographer though because camera shy cats are damn hard to take pics of.

OT I find the carpeted stairs interesting, thought they only existed in England. Maybe it's a climate issue.

I had help. My daughter distracted her while I took the picture. It was like trying to take a good picture of an active toddler!

Lots of carpeted stairs here in Canada. It could be a climate thing. Floors can get quite cool here in the winter. Personally I wish the stairs weren't carpeted. I'm forever vacuuming them and stairs are a pain in the backside to vacuum:)
