Covers for your Nook or Kindle

My daughter keeps her Nook in her bag and places it in a cabinet at work to keep up and out of the way of children. Yesterday someone put a heavy purse or bag on top of hers and her Nook was Damaged. She did not have it in the cover that she normally uses ( Read more... )

I've only had my Nookcolor for less than a month and I'm already heavily attached to it.
I keep it in its cover at all times, the same goes for my Ipod as well.

The people at the store when I bought my Nookcolor told me the warrenty covered everything but theft, since usually you'll have to send in the original.

I think accidentals are covered under the extended warranty. My daughter did not get that.

Ahhs, that would make sense.
I always try and spend the extra for the extended warranty, never know what could happen and all that.

I hope she's able to get a new one soon.

I was pretty sure that it covered accidentals as well? (I had two friends that broke their nook and had them exchanged with no problem.) Unless they changed their warranty... Hmmm.

Of course, they could have been covered under the different coverage that B&N provided, I know I bought a longer coverage rate when I purchased my nook because I didn't want something to happen shortly after the warranty expired.

Do you have the extended warranty, she did not buy that I think accidentals is covered under that one. Michelle did not buy that one.

I keep my Nook in the cover that I bought for it. It does protect it against a lot of things.

I know I did, but I'm not sure about Misha...I'll try to ask her. I know she had to have hers replaced recently after posting on the nook FB page about something on her nook getting broken.

I've only taken it out of the cover once and that was when I was given a new one for my birthday. :) It's so pretty and really snug compared to the other, it was well loved!

Edit: Because I bypassed a whole word! *headdesk*

The screen on Michelle's is broken, I think I'm going to run her over to B&N this weekend to see what they say.

I've been thinking about getting the Nook Color, but haven't made a final decision yet. If I do I will give the one I have now to my daughter.

I bought my daughter a Kindle last September. She got one of the special covers that clips into the side of the Kindle ( ... )

We'll take it to B&N to see what they say. She didn't get the extended warranty so I don't know what they will say. The screen is damaged so that may not be covered.

I was glad I researched the cover I decided to get for my Kindle. I read about all the issues with the clip covers. In addition to the shorts, they also can crack the case and loosen over time so eventually the Kindle can fall out. I got an M-edge cover and I love it. It's light and folds back really easily. I don't even notice it's there but it keeps it clean and protected.

I have had my Kindle for over a year and I also bought an M-edge when I got it (in basic black). I have had no trouble with my kindle at all but apparently my daughter's Kindle was simply defective as it was always slow even before she installed the clip on cover. I got her an M-edge too for the replacement Kindle but in hot pink!

Oh shit... that sucks... and she wasn't able to find out who he has been? I mean, my mother destroyed the mobile phone of the girlfriend of my brother accidentely, but the "house insurance" paid for a new one... so yeah... *hugs*

She doesn't know who did it. We are going to take it to Barnes and Nobles to see what they say.

I have a cover for mine, but I wish they made a cover that had extra room for the light that attaches to the nook.

I don't attach my light to my Nook I usually clip it to my cover. I have one that opens and closes like a book. I usually have it opened so that the other side is behind my Nook and attach the light to that. I know Kindle has a cover with the light attached I wish Nook made one like it. I would definitely buy one.
