Well, Lent is over. And I kept my commitment. I did not buy any new yarn during Lent. Chris thought I would surely fail. But I didn't. I actually finished quite a few projects too. Lovely yarns! They make me want some spring projects too, but I DON'T NEED ANY NEW PROJECTS UNTIL MY EXAMS ARE OVER! NO! NO! NO! (capitalized for my own will-power's sake).

I've actually never done any big crocheted things. (I just taught myself the basics and moved on.) I'm doing avoiding 49 identical squares for a 7x7 baby blanket though, which is extremely boring. My friend is due in July, but at this rate I'll keep the project for my grandchildren. (Or I'll bring it to the boring pedagogics classes in the big auditorium. Can't bring knitting because the needles make noise, but crochet is a silent art. Unfortunately it tends to distract other people.)
