Well, Lent is over. And I kept my commitment. I did not buy any new yarn during Lent. Chris thought I would surely fail. But I didn't. I actually finished quite a few projects too. But, since I was teaching crochet up at French Knots II, I had the fortune (good or bad...) to fondle and drool over the new spring yarns. So, today, I had to pick up some yarn to crochet up the sample for the next class, and I couldn't help myself. I had to get yarn for myself, too!
I picked up this
Cascade Sierra in a pink colorway. I'm teaching
this hat (Belliveau Cove) for my next crochet class, so I thought that the 80% cotton, 20% merino blend would be beautiful.
I've been dieing to try
Lorna's Laces yarn, so I picked up 2 skeins of the Shepherd Sock in the Somerset colorway. I haven't decided what socks I might make out of it yet. So, I'm going to play around with it for a bit, while I wait for my Hurricane Sock Party pal's sock yarn to arrive (I ordered it today!!)
Pinks and greens...spring will come soon!!
