So here are some pictures.  (No pictures of new haircut...yesterday was a little emotional and I didn't get around to it, and today...well, hat head.  It's cold out there.)

Chris' stocking all finished.  With candy in it...and St. Nick's gift behind it.

The stocking turned out really well - and the cheesecake too.

The yarn has a lovely color, but I've never knitted anything with a soy blend, what does it feel like?

Thank you...and my house smells like cheesecake!

SWS feels like a soft felting wool. It's 70% wool and 30% soy. It's an interesting combination. The yarn actually does felt, and apparently felts extremely quickly. But because it's such a high wool content, I'm not sure I'd want to wear it close to skin...I get itchy. I've had the best luck with Merino and Alpaca for wearing. I'm really perplexed as to what to do with it!

Oh! I'd love to think of some feltable project for you... There is no better distraction than beautiful yarn and soft, shiny items. But I have two exams tomorrow, and I'm already struggling to keep my focus and keeping at bay the thoughts of how much fun it would be to try to knit a clapotis from laceweight yarn. So I'm going to be a good girl and not think of knitting, but get my tendinitis-ridden arms to bed for a few hours rest before tomorrow's Spanish hell.
