                When Nathan came out of the bathroom, he was about to comment on the humongous stash of condoms in the medicine cabinet but then he saw Reid standing with his arms folded and looking generally pissed off.  As he came closer to the sofa and could see Luke over the edge of the back, he expected to see a mirrored expression to Reid's

Aww, Nathan's such a good guy and loyal friend. So happy that he's willing to get to know Luke himself, though, instead of just taking Reid's word for it (though he could). And I'm glad you created him for this fic. It's good that Luke gets to know Reid through him and that Reid might get to know Luke through him too (maybe Nathan will share details later?).

I really want to slap some sense (and good manners) into Reid here but I have to understand why he's so upset with Luke. But couldn't he at least try to not be so mean to Luke, just this once?

Such a great fic but oh, why'd you stop there? I need more; I want more! Take your time, though. Your updates are always worth it. :)

Thank you--your comments always make me feel good when I'm a little uncertain about a chapter.
I love Nathan, but I have a feeling Reid would strangle him if he knew that Nathan was out there just blabbing personal history to Luke. Nathan is definitely critical to the story. Reid's been such an ass that Luke has to soften toward Reid somehow, and Nathan is my vehicle for that.
LOL. I almost included another section to this chapter, but it would have made the chapter the longest thing ever. However, at least that means the next chapter is written!

Maybe - just shyly knocking at your heart's door - maybe it's possible to get Reid out of that closed room now? - Literally and metaphorically???

I can't imagine Reid ever tolerating bullies. And I can see him gaining a lifelong friend in standing up for Nathan when they were young.

We may see a little more romance in the next chapter, maybe. ;)
