Lists are always fun:

•   I was ticketed in June for riding my bike without a helmet.
•   Option A: Go to court on or before September 22nd and pay the $128.75 fine.
•   Option B: Attend an information session on September 9th and not pay the fine.

Guess which option I chose when the officer gave them to me?

As much as I would have loved defending myself in court against such harsh oppression by The Man, it never would have been worth the time and effort. Everyone who pled guilty received the same future court date in February. It only took me a few weeks to screw up this date, so no doubt I would probably end up doing the same thing. Besides, if the officer did show up, I would need a strong enough case defending individual human liberty to completely overturn a provincial law from within small claims court.

What has changed, probably for the better, is that I'm even more serious about having my own private island when I'm older and really fucking rich.
