This is amazing. You should watch it. It reminds me of Wilson.

Also, is there anyone who doesn't think dinosaur comics are awesome? Because I think they're awesome and I'm in a mildly combative mood.

ETA: I had a THOUGHT. Some people might not know about dinosaur comics. Here is a link to dinosaur comics.

comics, non sequiturs, house, fandom, videos

Well, since your feeling combative ...

The fact that the art never changes--EVER--pretty much turned me off to that rather quickly. If the non-text component of your message is so immaterial that you can use exactly the same six panels every time without effecting the message, write an essay, not a webcomic.

The art is part of what MAKES a webcomic for me, and while great writing can make up for bad art (hey, I read xkcd) there has to be some visual novelty for me. Otherwise, I get bored. =/

It is unfortunate that I am no longer feeling combative, or I would most certainly whoop yo ass. As it is, though, I will say that I respect your opinion and that clearly it's subjective, but personally I appreciate both the writing and the artwork in a comic, but the writing more. In this case, there's very little to appreciate about the artwork, but for me that doesn't make it expendable - it provides a framing device for the writing. I think constrained comics can be really interesting (although I was disappointed by David Lynch's, if I'm honest, despite being a fan of his films), but probably more so when they're seen as literary experiments rather than examples of art. So it probably just depends on your point of view, really.

OK NOW FOR THE NAKED MUD-WRESTLING.
