okay it's gorgeously restrained and sad and the dressing carefully and the orange light that turns it all blue and sighs and recriminations are spot on wonderful. Have to go listen to Mary Poppins now to recover - which is a good thing . . .

This is fantastic! I find it hard to read heavily introspective pieces, but you wrote it very well. It's sad, but has a hopeful ending. It seems that House gives Wilson as much direction as Wilson gives House. This was just lovely.

Aw, thank you! I'm glad it seemed balanced enough to you. I'm not really into the introspective stuff that involves wrist-slashing or sobbing in the foetal position, but some of it I like. I think I write more of it than I read, though, for some reason.

This is the first wilson_fest entry I've loved, and I don't ~think~ it's just because you wrote it. ;) Seriously though, this is what I wanted from the "fest" and it's what I feel has been lacking. I dunno, maybe it's the scarcity of H/W porn that's tripping me up. SO FEW NC17s. :*(

Lovely, Petra. Very poetic, very poignant. I love the word choice and the pervading sense of absent melancholy, just this sort of overlying feeling of discontent, which is brightened only by the hope in the last sentence.

I liked it.
