Though it nearly took a miracle to get you to stay, it only took my little fingers to blow you away.

Nod nod wink wink.

Mea Culpa. There are certainly worse things to have stuck there, even worse Elvis Costello songs. Here's an amusing note--on the karaoke disc for "Oliver's Army," they can't spell out Nigger. So the lyric goes "one less white n------" on the the screen. Also it's very funny when someone decides to sing it, but seems to have forgotten that particular lyric and suddenly sees it and has to soldier on or just not do it. Heheheheh. Even better when there are actual African Americans in the bar ( ... )

Haha. I'd love to do Patti Smith's Rock 'n' Roll Nigger in a karaoke bar, especially the line where it goes "Jackson Pollock. Was a nigger. NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER." I genuinely can't imagine why that one isn't heralded as a classic...

Aasif Mandvi is pretty great, but Rob Riggle is the only one who makes me cry laughing. It's his barely-suppressed rage that does it. And I like Samantha Bee, too - she's new, right? I only started watching it about nine months ago, or something like that.

I'll definitely try and write those. I feel like I should branch out a little bit, maybe cleanse my palate so that I can concentrate on the H/W fic properly. If I ever get the damn thing done.

Definitely link me! I've never read any Poirot slash. I shouldn't be surprised that it exists, but I kind of am - I thought I might be being original here. I guess there's nothing new under the sun. At least that makes me feel less insane.

Here's the Poirot fic.

Riggle doesn't do it for me. I'm not seeing any subtlety to the character, but maybe I'm missing something.

Sam Bee isn't really new, but she recently had a baby so she was off for few months and has only been doing more pieces lately.

One of the most amazing karaoke mindfucks along racial/sexual weirdness lines was my friend Keshawna a big, black, butch lesbian doing "Stan" by Eminem.

I wouldn't say Riggle is the MOST subtle of characters, no, but... you know that scene where he sawed through the guy's table because his second name was 'Hussein', or something? It was a while ago, but you probably know the one I mean. I was doubled over laughing. There's just something about him that works for me.

Thanks for the link! I'll get reading.

PS. Don't tell anybody, but I like Dido. Seriously, tell no-one.
