Rawhide passion

Well, the passion overflowed, and they both gave as good as they received. Ennis is conflicted, but at least here he has already decided that he's in for the long haul. "Then shaking his head he decided to do what he always did. Ride it out and hope he didn’t get thrown."

Liked the analogy to the time in OS that Ennis was hurt when the bear startled his horse. Jack tried to help there, and Ennis pushed him away. But here, Jack helped dress his wounds, and Ennis pulled him in, igniting the first kiss. Can't help but think that may have happened in OS, if Ennis had let Jack continue to touch him then.

Wonder if Red has an inkling that something's up? Billy is now somewhat of a mystery force. He may want to get back at Jack, and then again he may have respect for Jack, and when, not if, Barnes pulls his play on the traildrive, Billy should put the crew and the herd ahead of any problem he may have with Jack and Ennis.

Yes, I think this incident has finally made Ennis see that he can't fight the force that is bringing them together and the best way to deal with it is to just go along for the ride. He'll still worry of course but I think that's just a part of who he is.

This chapter made me so happy! Ennis and Jack's make-out session was totally hot. I cant wait for their long trip tomorrow...alone, together...

YEEHAW the boys finally release some of that pent up tension!! I'm so thrilled it included a smouldering kiss and wasn't as rough as FNIT!!

Poor Ennis, he feels so responsible for the whole situation. Hopefully he will now begin to realise that the attraction is mutual!!

Loved a cheeky Jack trying to lighten the mood after they nearly got caught by Red!! Gonna be an interesting ride into Arlene tomorrow!!

Wonder how Ennis will react when Jack tells him what Barnes had said??

So pleased Ennis realizes he can no longer fight his attraction to Jack and has decided to ride it out!!
