This was intense! how hard it was for Jack and Ennis seeing each other but Ennis ignoring Jack.

This line hit me

“Ennis, if ya don’t wantta be my friend…well...I just want ya to know I’m always gonna be yours. Always.”

Jack wants to be your friend Ennis, you never had one of those. And Jack's friendship can be SO much more. Bring you both so much joy and happiness.

I am worried about that Barnes character, and what about Billy.

more please.

The turmoil of love always a highly problematic thing joetheone May 14 2007, 02:23:01 UTC
Ennis cannot stop thinking on Jack and Jack cannot stop on Ennis this is love in its best form. Yes, Ennis does not realize that being next to Jack instead of away from him is more harm but maybe he will soon enough. I do think that problems are going to happen and the men may all find themselves in a tough spot choosing sides on who to accept and who to deny friendship too. This would be a really telling event for this time period. Although I think things like this happened out west more then we think in that time period. My great great aunt who well is the only one who corresponded with him told me that he was a special person and even though in all the letters I read and the stuff I could not ( ... )

I agree with you... it makes that they take time to sort out their feelings and fears.... and I keep forgetting that this story is set in a period even older than original Brokeback - can just image how hard it was for two guys to be in love.

Evne though you're killing me with the sexual tensions there!

And even if they do decide to be together... those prying eyes from the likes of Barnes, they worried me already. :(

Jack not giving up that easily, damn right!

Meanwhile…Ennis in the hayloft…Oh. My. God. That was great!! :)
