Dating is beginning a relationship with an expectation (or, rather, an assumption) that it will become romantic. And I can’t do that! I can’t expect to be romantically involved with someone before I get to know them. And this is all dating is about - you don’t yet know the person, but you’re seeing them with the explicit and mutually acknowledged

But even that can change over time

first thought: dr/dt

and sometimes really quickly

second thought: "the graph of that change is a graph of an exponential decay"

I’ll probably talk to you and just see where it goes from there. But every step of the way, don’t assume that this step is just a “preparation” for the next step! Because it isn’t - it is just what it is

third thought: "however, it seems that, unlike with the case of an exponent, what we are having here is a function which is non-continuous and non-integrable"
