"Haha, you're funny," Peter said. "I'm just worried they won't like me. I annoy people sometimes when I'm nervous. The more nervous I am, the more I talk. The more I talk, the worse my jokes get. And then somebody throws a grenade at me. It's not pleasant."

"So, this is it? Nice looking place."

A pretty black-haired woman sitting behind the counter said, "Skankabelle!" and jumped up. Oh, look at that, she's expecting. She hugged Zero and said, "So, this is your boy, then?"

"Er, yeah, Arsenal, this is Peter. Peter, my sister. Arsenal." Zero addressed Arsenal's stomach. "Hello, little stowaway."

"Wow. Nice house," Peter said as they walked up to Zero's home. "You're sure your parents are out of the country?"

"Yeh, they're in...Venezuela. Possibly Brazil. One of those." Zero gestured to the car in the driveway. "That's Rat. He's house-sitting."

"Somewhere south," Peter said. "How likely is Rat to imply that horrible things might happen to me if I hurt you? Just wondering."
