"Pete? I got Isabel's message. Are you in there?" Parker glared at the door again. "And have you talked to Zero? She wrecked shoes for you, buster!"

Well, if Peter was going to have to deal with this - and he was since there didn't seem to be a quick fix in the books - Parker was probably one of the first people who should know anyway.

He walked over to the door and opened it slightly. "Um. Hey. I talked to Zero, we're fine." Peter took a breath. "You can come in, but I should warn you, you'll see something that's kind of surprising."

After dropping her stuff off in her room and talking to Xander, Isabel took a quick walk down to Peter's room.

Tired from the last week of hell, she leaned against the door frame and knocked.

"In a manner of speaking, yes. Yes, I'm alright," Peter said.

Okay, Rory probably deserved to find out, too. "I'm going to open the door and let you in, but I'm warning you, you're going to see something kind of strange." Okay, really strange, but "kind of" softened the news a little, he felt.
