Cataract surgery - part 2 finished
Went for the left eye on Monday. Bandages came off yesterday morning. Eyesight was not as good as the left. Doc says this is because of the scar tissue on my cornea from the lasik surgery three years ago. I don't know. I can live with the difference, because at least lights don't make my eye nearly blank out with the glare. I definitely need ( Read more... ) -
Bridge Fest vs. Mobicon
Well, I found out today that the third annual Bay St. Louis Bridge Fest is scheduled for May 16, smack dab in the middle of Mobicon. I was able to get out of working the Bridge Fest last year, but I doubt I will be able to this year, since we are trying to be very visible to the community in our 75th year. Cataract surgery - one half finished
Well, the right eye has been successfully "repaired." I had the surgery last Wednesday, and when I went back the following day for follow-up, my vision has returned to 20/20 in my right eye. As of yesterday, I am down to two drops twice a day in the operative eye ( Read more... ) -
Cataract surgery
Well, went for a second opinion on my eyes, since they have been getting steadily worse. My vision is now 20/40 in both eyes. When the technician told my my eyesight was so much worse than back in October, I almost started crying. I thought I better calm myself down and wait to see what the doctor said. The holidays are over and we survived!
Well, the holidays are officially over. I have taken down the tree and decorations, and they await me putting them back in storage.

I spent three days last week at a workshop in Jackson. While I was at the workshop with a bunch of youth services librarians, one of them suggested an outing to the midnight opening of Twilight, which I have briefly reviewed in another post. Cruisin' the Coast is a bust
Well, this week has been Cruisin' The Coast, starting Sunday with a kickoff party at Hardy Court Shopping Center. We took John's convertible, the 1965 Plymouth Valiant, aka, the "Orgasm on Wheels", and saw a lot of the same cars that are always at Cruisin'.
