I had more to say when I fist commented but I was called away. Rowena is a full person in this very short piece. The way she uncomfortably describes Godric's tenderness for her as kindness, the way she smooths her dress, and most of all the way she describes receiving his love as learning to accept it all creates a character who I can see in my mind. This was great. (Godric too comes across as a true person as well.) You did an amazing amount in a very short piece.

Thank you so much! I was afraid that I hadn't quite gotten her character in there very well - I had to cut out a lot of words, and so consequently, a lot of her little actions had to go, too. But I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

I can imagine her sleepless nights before this planning out a speech that makes the most logical sense and making sure her pesky emotions don't come into play. I love how bowled over she is that not only does he not mind marrying her, but he'd be delighted.

The man that marries Rowena Ravenclaw is a lucky one indeed - too bad she doesn't realize it! :)
