The Creator strings Its lights across the extremities. When not shining at night, they glisten, trapped within the rays of a newly found sun's subatomic gaze. The day gets brighter as the sun sinks, millions of reflections of the universe amplifying the apex of each branch, leaf, and blade ( Read more... )

One of my most favorite recent sights was of one of the rosebushes at the side of the house. The water melting off the roof had fallen on it and frozen, leaving the branches and leaves coated in a film of ice. I tried to get some pictures of it, but I seriously doubt they'll capture the magic of its reality.

Ice Beauties anonymous January 19 2007, 03:20:24 UTC
I've spent the last four days running around with a camera. It's amazing how beautiful, if deadly, an ice storm can be.

The small tree in my patio lit up like a Christmas tree when a light from the alley hit it at night. Truly an amazing sight.

When I looked at it in the daylight, I saw that each tiny leaf had ice encasing it -- a lot of ice for one tiny leaf. How on earth do they hold up?

I love your description. I'm glad we can see the beauty in all things, even nature's hazards.

Thanks for the picture. Amazing! Amber did a good job on it.
