OMG. SO you know -- I am SURE you know -- that bugs are my Most Terrifying Thing and specifically roaches are at the top of the Most Terrifying List. And I got to the part with the roach and I literally had to STOP READING and look away and breathe, and then go back to it and I just read the "A roach" part and my eyes would like, glass over, and I had to stop again. Jeeeeeeezus. And John is lucky that was plastic but I WOULD NOT FORGIVE HIM EVER. THAT IS A BREAK-UP OFFENSE RIGHT THERE.

*whew*

Aside from roaches, plastic or otherwise, this is great. I totally didn't see the movie twist coming! (And now I would like the actual John-n-Matt-in-insect-world fic, too. :D )

Also! That part about wearing masks so you don't SUCK IN FLIES is so stupidly ridiculously creepy.

Well Snick, it's a ROACH. ON HIS ARM. The locust are behind a window (which granted is going to crash in any second) or the roof (which, yup, gonna collapse and spill locust *everywhere*) but still. That is later. Currently, THERE IS A ROACH ON HIS ARM.

One roach = scarier than 10K locust. *nods so much*

I totally didn't expect the movie aspect of this, although reading it over, yes of course.

I've said this to severina2001 after she wrote Situation Normal, and I'll tell you: this can totally be an original fic. My publisher just had a call for end of the world stories, and Bugs would have fit in perfectly.

And as with Sev, I'd love to see Matt and John in this world, if only to learn how they get out of it.

Er... they would get out of it, wouldn't they?

Thank you so much. I'm so, so pleased that the surprise worked for you! And of course when you went back and read it that it seemed like it made sense as a movie too.

I'm sure John wouldn't have to get them out of it. He wouldn't lead them to a dead end cellar! He'd make his way to a pesticide factory and blow it up, thereby implementing the world's largest bug bomb and saving the earth. STORY DONE. :D
