omg all the CODE and the melancholy mood and John's POV and "distractions like his laptop, and John's dick" HEEE and seriously, smoking has never been so sensuous. Mop-top. Matt lunging at John's mouth and John trying not to look intimidating (hah, good luck with that John) and Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezus THE SEX AGAINST THE WALL which possibly made me squirm and pant (oh Snick, you KNOW what I like!) And then the end with chocolate cake in the fridge and John FINALLY figuring it out and Matt going back to being MATT again, just... *happy contented sated sigh*

HI STEVE. YAY you found it! There were many other titles, most of them Steve's. Close contenders were "those crazy nights, I do remember/those summer nights" and "he's an xbox and I'm more atari". ...did you find all your prompts too? It's like a Bruce-hunt, but with...paperwork. Hope the light/dark thing wasn't too heavy-handed.
I *tried* to make them lie in bed and play the 'what's this scar' game and explain John's tat for you but it just wouldn't fit! Too communicative.
...and while you were reading that again I was looking at my pics again. So. Sayin'.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! ;__________________________; I love it! So it was secret code...Ow, Matt! I'm glad that John finally understand the Kid's code >____________< Very touching!
Hopefully Matt appreciates how much John wants him to put up with all those codes. Also now that there's been some results from talking, they'll continue with more talking and less code. Heh.

Second, LOVED IT!!
Geez, parts had my heart aching, and parts had me laughing out loud, especially that bit about Matt taking apart kitchen appliances to see how they worked....give the kid a Rubik's cube or a challenger level sudoko, and for heaven's sake keep him the hell out of the way a John intent on cooking!
This whole thing was a roller-coaster - from Matt's coded messages to John and John's determination to try to play by Matt's unspoken rules....and yet, longing for something more.
I was thrilled when John finally, finally pushed for the actual 'talk' to occur and Matt couldn't run away from it.
First, thanks to Severina for inspiring this wonderful story. Yes thank you for saying this, I really have to second it. Her prompts did inspire and made me feel a whole different mood for these characters I haven't really tried before so, go Severina!
