[Spoiler (click to open)]What a fantastic plot twist it would've been had Clara REALLY been the Doctor - a future, female incarnation of the Doctor who'd been helping herself from the beginning, and who'd opted to travel with Eleven and Twelve for reasons as yet unspecifiedRead more... )

I was so mad about Osgood. I swore at my TV and at Missy and at Moffat in general. Two seconds later I was grinning at Missy's escapade's though. She was so great.

I'm not hugely fond (as in NOT AT ALL) of the whole crazy!bitch!Master thing - it pissed me off when RTD did it with Simm!Master, though I'll admit I liked Missy slightly better than him. Trouble is, for me, no one can ever match Delgado as the Master. He had crazy, off the wall, plots, but he himself was sane. I prefer that.

I really like this Master but I don't mind the 'bananas' version :)

I've been reading a theory that Osgood could come back because there was normal human Osgood and the zygon Osgood. Not sure if that could work...

Hmm. I don't think it's likely they'll bring Osgood back.

I agree, that would have been an amazing plot twist! There were a few minutes there where I totally believed in the possibility, and started rooting for a huge Clara!Doctor vs. Missy showdown.

Given that they used "Clara Oswald has never existed" in all the trailers and previews, I feel cheated that it turned out to be such a big pile of nothing.

Yes! That would've been so intriguing - and satisfying, particularly after both "Listen" and "Flatline"...

Damn you, Moffat!

Late happy birthday, by the way!

Hrm, I'm kind of tired of them mocking or killing off non-white characters. It's a trope that really, really shouldn't be happening as often as it does. (Like with Mickey, Danny deserved a better story, IMO.)

I sincerely doubt the Master's dead. Osgood's death served no purpose other than to establish that the Master is really evil.

Kind of felt like a linking episode, to be honest. If it isn't, it's going to be meh in my mind.

Thanks.

Yes, Danny did deserve better - and so did Osgood.

I'm not a bit convinced the Master's dead - he was burnt on a pyre after all, but still came back.
